Bio: I grew up on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where my father was a fly-fishing guide who pioneered shallow-water flats fishing for tarpon, bonefish, and permit in the 1990s and early 2000s. From a very young age, I began tying flies and assisting with guided trips, developing a deep passion for the sport and a particular obsession with tarpon. I attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Marine Science while continuing to pursue fly fishing, primarily targeting redfish along the North Carolina coast. Following graduation, I spent two seasons in the Seychelles working for Alphonse Fishing Company on Farquhar Atoll. There, I refined my guiding skills while targeting a wide range of species, including giant trevally, permit, triggerfish, and milkfish. This experience solidified my passion for guiding and my desire to help clients connect with elusive and exotic species. After completing my final season in the Seychelles, I purchased my own skiff in 2024 and began operating fly-fishing trips for redfish out of Wilmington, North Carolina. In 2025, seeking warmer weather and new opportunities, I traveled to Puerto Rico to explore its fishery. I quickly fell in
love with the diversity of environments and techniques available – endless permit flats, mangrove estuaries, and exceptional tarpon and snook fishing – making it an ideal destination for a dedicated flats angler.
