Bio: A fourth generation Miamian, Matt first moved to and fell in love with the island of Puerto Rico in 2013.Meeting Cooper in 2018 while working for Bonefish & Tarpon Trust and in 2021 after their work in Belize, Matt convinced Cooper to head back to the island for a bit of market research. The rest would become the history of No Name Lodge.
Together Matt and Cooper tackled hurdle after hurdle in getting NNL off the ground and it’s almost hard to believe how far we’ve come as a company since those early days. Although not quite retired from guiding, these days he leaves it mostly to the professionals. Matt is found never far from a golf course or a permit flat or at his day job as the lodge “Director of Fun” , chumming it up with clients, mixing cocktails, reliving the days fishing highlights and planning for the future of No Name Lodge.
